Accessibility Statement

ExactaPlan is committed to making its website and application usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies.

1. Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the benchmark referenced by the UK Equality Act 2010 and, in the EU, by the European Accessibility Act (via EN 301 549). Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we treat it as part of building the product rather than a one-off task.

2. Conformance status

ExactaPlan is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard; the known gaps are listed in section 4, and we are actively working through them.

3. What we have done

  • An in-product accessibility panel offering adjustable text size, reduced motion, and a high-contrast mode.
  • We respect your operating-system preferences for reduced motion, increased contrast, and Windows high-contrast / forced colours.
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators, and support for browser zoom (we do not disable pinch-to-zoom).
  • Semantic HTML with landmarks and headings, text alternatives for meaningful images, and labelled form fields.

4. Known limitations

We are aware of the following areas that do not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and are working to address them:

  • Some text uses fixed sizes that do not resize with the in-app Text Size control; we are migrating these to scalable units.
  • In the default (non-high-contrast) theme, some muted text and borders — particularly in dense data views — may fall below the required contrast ratio. Enabling High contrast in the accessibility panel improves this in the meantime.
  • Some icon-only buttons and older dialog windows are still being updated for screen-reader labelling and keyboard focus management.
  • Per-page titles and a “skip to content” link are being rolled out across the app.

If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us (section 6) — real-world reports help us prioritise.

5. Compatibility

ExactaPlan is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and their built-in zoom, and with common screen readers. The web application is intended for desktop use; on phones we provide a dedicated mobile app.

6. Feedback and reporting a problem

If you experience any difficulty using ExactaPlan, or need information in a different format, please contact us at support@exactaplan.com. Tell us the page or feature, what went wrong, and the assistive technology or browser you were using if you can. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 working days.

7. Enforcement

If you contact us with a complaint and are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to escalate it. In the UK, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can advise on rights under the Equality Act 2010; in the EU, national authorities designated under the European Accessibility Act handle complaints.

8. How this statement was prepared

This statement is based on a self-assessment of ExactaPlan carried out by Empire Technologies Ltd using an internal code-level audit against WCAG 2.1 AA. It reflects our current understanding and will be updated as we make improvements.
